Coverage will vary from one insurance policy to another even if using the same insurance company. Orthodontic insurance typically has a maximum lifetime benefit that you can use to cover a percentage of the orthodontic fee for things like diagnostic records, initial fees, monthly payments, etc. Once the maximum benefit is reached, you would pay out of pocket. The cost of lost or broken appliances is often excluded from coverage.

Before beginning treatment, we recommend reaching out to your insurance company to figure out the details of your policy and what you can expect to pay for your treatment. We can also submit a pre-treatment claim on your behalf to determine the extent of your benefits, just provide us with your personal information and the appropriate forms. We can also assist with the initial insurance claim submissions for the services provided at our office.
